15th Anniversary

2019 is a huge year for anniversaries. The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission that put the first humans on the moon. FIRST’s 30th birthday, and the 15th anniversary of the Finger Lakes Regional.

In honor of the 15th anniversary, we will be celebrating by sharing stories, inviting alumni and volunteers back to the regional to celebrate together, and with a new fundraising campaign to help continue the impact of the Finger Lakes Regional.

If you would like to help celebrate our 15th anniversary, please reach out to us.

Reunion at Finger Lakes Regional

We invite all FIRST alumni, volunteers, and families to reunite on Saturday, March 17th at the Regional. Meet up with team mates that you haven’t seen in years, cheer on teams at the competition, and join us for a photo with every alumni in attendance.

We estimate that over 15,000 students have participated at the regional since 2005.

Send a Video Message

Have a short video message to share with the Finger Lakes Regional community? Send it to us! It can be anything from a quick “Congrats on reaching 15 Years!” to a short story about how FIRST has impacted you. We will be sharing these stories through social media and at the regional. Be sure to mention what team you were on or the volunteer positions you held, along with the years you were involved.

Videos should be 30-80 seconds long.

You can email your video messages to schneiderman.daniel@gmail.com.

Share Your Story

We’re looking to collect stories from alumni, students, mentors, volunteers, and everyone’s families on how FIRST has made an impact on your lives. If you have a favorite story from your years involved in FIRST, please share them with us.

Donate

In honor of the 15th anniversary, we’re asking for donations in increments of $15. Your generous donation will help support the regional for future generations of FIRST students.

By donating to Rochester Community Robotics, not only is your gift considered a charitable donation for tax deductions (RCR is a certified 501c3 non-profit organization), but we help distribute your funds to all of our robotics teams! That means that your gift is affecting many of our youth, not just one school.
